Samantha Rosenblum, M.A.

Samantha, M.A., is an Associate Marriage Family Therapist (AMFT 139678) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC 14091). She received her master’s in clinical psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She graduated Summa cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree from University of Southern California.

Samantha has experience working with kids, adults, and couples with a range of psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, Autism, OCD, Trichotillomania, relationship challenges, and low self-esteem. She utilizes a Person-Centered approach that puts the client first and allows Samantha to tailor therapeutic treatment to the needs of the client. Samantha takes pride in building a strong therapeutic rapport with her clients to create a safe and nurturing environment for them to work through their struggles and achieve growth. Samantha draws from evidence-based theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help her clients learn the tools to work through their challenges, both in and outside the therapy room. Samantha helps her clients build effective coping skills and effectively manage their emotions.

Samantha brings both her previous and lived experience into the therapy space, helping her be practical in her suggestions and able to build a strong rapport with clients. Samantha worked for 15 years as a reality television producer before becoming a therapist. This role required high level interpersonal skills enabling her to build relationships and create a safe and trusting space for her cast members. Samantha is also a mother to two children, both of whom have additional needs. Her daughter has Cerebral Palsy, and her son has ADHD. Samantha understands firsthand the difficulties of managing a child’s needs and the range of emotions that comes alongside parenting a child who requires extra care. She has much familiarity with navigating IEPs with the school district and working with the regional center. She also personally understands the role parents and caregivers play in supporting the growth of their children outside of therapy. Samantha considers being an advocate for her children and inclusive education as one of her most important roles. She has helped others navigate the system and receive proper supports and accommodations for their children to meet their needs and reach their potential.

Samantha also has experience leading parent support groups and working as a mentor to families going through medical challenges. She worked with the staff at the NICU at Cedars Sinai to create an Alumni Mentor program for families with children in the ICU and led support groups for current parents.

Samantha’s authenticity and genuineness are a great compliment to her skill set as a therapist, that combined, help her clients achieve therapeutic success.
