Taylor Sophlet received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Santa Cruz, as well as received her Master of Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University. Taylor has worked with children and adolescents as an educational specialist for several years. As a therapist, she assists children with their executive functioning skills, confidence, emotional regulation, and self-reliance. She works within a cognitive behavioral as well as person-centered treatment approaches, combining the client's needs with empirically studied interventions to promote essential therapeutic progress. In addition to doing individual and family therapy, she facilitates groups for children ranging from 5-13. The groups focus on helping children with social skills, self-regulation and anxiety. Taylor has a nonthreatening and disarming style that puts children, teens, and adults at ease and ensures they won’t feel judged. People find her a joy to work with because of her contagious positivity, as well as her dedication to providing the necessary support for change.
