Alyse Scarmozzino, Psy.D. is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 137887) and has been working at Fulton Psychological Group since 2016. She received her Doctorate degree from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, San Francisco Bay Area.

Dr. Scarmozzino has received training in child and family guidance centers, outpatient clinics, and public-school settings. She has worked with diverse populations and clients of varying ages ranging, from early childhood to late adulthood, through various modalities such as individual, dyads, group and family therapy, specifically treating clients with an array of psychological and emotional issues; including anxiety, OCD, depression, developmental delays, relational issues, adjustment disorders, emotional regulation issues, attention problems, ARFID and family conflict.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Scarmozzino does performance training with individual athletes and professional sports teams with the goal of helping them achieve their full potential both on and off the field. She works with athletes on coachability, intensity level, motivation, confidence building, focus, managing competition related anxiety and the myriad of other performance related issues. It is her continued passion and love of sports that fuel her commitment to work with athletes in the pursuit of their goals.

Dr. Scarmozzino’s style is calm, compassionate, and supportive. She is able to build rapport easily with children, making them feel comfortable and safe. She utilizes a reflective and strength-based approach to reduce anxiety and build a therapeutic alliance. She utilizes cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and family systems therapy approaches. Her style, combined with her experiences and training, allow her to successfully work with diverse populations to meet their treatment goals.
